Mbarang’andu WMA is part of the Selous-Niassa Wildlife Corridor and hosts a variety of wildlife species including elephants, hippopotami, leopards, buffalos, hyenas, zebras, wild dogs, and many others. The area also supports diverse bird species and reptiles

OUR MISSION

We are committed to protecting wildlife resources and their habitats while mitigating the impact of wildlife on human lives. Our efforts include conducting regular patrols, educating communities on coexisting with wildlife like elephants and buffalo, and promoting strategies to manage conflicts with dangerous animals effectively.

PROJECTS

We collaborate with conservation partners and stakeholders to implement key initiatives:

KUWA Project

In partnership with Honeyguide Foundation, this project strengthens natural resource management.


SECAD Project

In collaboration with WWF, we focus on providing facilities for patrols and developing human-wildlife conflict mitigation measures.

Carbon Tanzania REDD

Partnering with Carbon Tanzania, we engage in a REDD project to promote sustainable development and carbon offset initiatives through conservation efforts.
